Received a request to make a cake for a welcome baby party. Cake: Vanilla Gold Butter Cake Filling: Chocolate Buttercream Design: Elephant holding a baby bottle sitting on top of a 2 tier cake, covered in fondant with light pink base, dark pink circles.  Bottom tier: striped light & dark pink on a gray base fondant. Welcome, Baby Kai!

Received an adorable request to make an Elmo first birthday cake.  Elmo would be shaped using rice crispy treats then covered in fondant.  His eyes and nose would be cake pops.  The small 2-tier cake in front of Elmo would also be shaped using rice crispy treats then covered in fondant.  The rest of the cake decorations were made using fondant.  The cake board was also covered in light blue fondant, then letters were imprinted onto the fondant. I received a request to make a Triple Layer Bourbon Buckeye Birthday Cake for a boyfriend who loves Buckeyes.  What is a buckeye, you ask? That's what I thought too, when I first received the call.  Buckeyes are a nut of the Buckeye tree, well known in Ohio, where Brutus Buckeye is Ohio State University's mascot. Kevin, who was turning 29, loves Buckeyes.  So the design was to create a triple layered Bourbon chocolate cake with layers of peanut butter buttercream frosting, topped with chocolate buttercream, drizzled with Bourbon ganache, finally decorated with 29 Buckeyes scattered on top and around the cake.  And the message, "Happy Birthday, Kevin" was to be written on a dark green plaque, placed on top of the cake.
