I was asked to create a birthday cake for a 70th birthday.  He is a musician, plays the guitar, and served in the Air Force.  So I thought to combine all three by making a fondant guitar, a variety of music notes, and the Air Force emblem for the cake toppers. Theme: Music Notes, Guitar, Air Force Colors: Black & White Vanilla Gold Butter Cake Vanilla Buttercream Frosting Happy 70th Birthday Jack!

Received a request for an Air Force JAG Retirement Cake.  Initially considering the design, we discussed making a golden beam balance to be placed on top of a cake.  However as the retirement ceremony was in a few days time, making a golden beam balance was out of the question -- the beam would not harden in time.  I thought of what images come to mind regarding "law" and decided to create a gavel and a law book as well as the Airforce emblem using fondant as decor, then placed them on top of the law book.  Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream filling and Fondant icing. Congratulations on your retirement, Bob, and thank you for your many years of service!
