While creating Thomas the Tank Engine, I had the theme song playing in my head the whole time (about a week)!

The process of creating the many detailed pieces to the Thomas the Tank Engine Cake...Assembling those pieces (and hoping that all the pieces fit together correctly) was a fun challenge! Added additional detail to Thomas' body as I went along...
Taiyo means "Sun" in Japanese, hence why I added a sun to the "O" in his name :-D
Yes, Thomas is #1, but Taiyo is turning 2 :-)
Wood-looking Railroad tracks, signal light, and Railroad crossing
3 lbs. of sweet juicy strawberries used for filling with whipped cream
Simple syrup & strawberry preserves, painted onto each cake layer
1 quart of Gourmet whipped cream with 40% fat
Triple layers of Strawberries and whipped cream deliciousness!
And now for the half cake, triple layered as well with strawberries and cream...

Thomas the Tank Engine Train Cake, arrived safely to Taiyo's 2nd Birthday Party!
Taiyo's mother made cute Thomas Engines using Taiyo's Megablocks and put the on a track around the base of the cake. :-)
